…and accents would require an additional skill level of playing that I’m not sure many people would be able to utilize.

I think I’m a pretty decent pianist, and I find real-time MIDI input hit-or-miss (at least for piano stuff) in nearly every software.

Overture has options for auto transcription of staccato and tenuto, and it does work out pretty well, actually…
