Subject: Request for License Reset / Activation Assistance for Cubase AI (DAC Already Used)

​Dear Steinberg Support Team,

​I am writing to request assistance with activating Cubase AI bundled with my hardware.

​When I attempted to enter the Download Access Code (DAC) provided with my hardware unit into my Steinberg account, the system indicated that the code has already been registered or used.

​I am the current owner of this hardware device, and I have all the details and serial numbers available on the unit. Since the license appears to be registered to a previous user or account, I am unable to claim my official Cubase AI license.

​Could you please assist me in resetting or transferring this Download Access Code to my official Steinberg account?

​Here are my details for verification:

​Hardware Model: [Yamaha MG16XU

​Hardware Serial Number: CHNCUL 01515

​Download Access Code. (removed)

​My Registered Steinberg Email: (removed)

​I can also provide a photo of the hardware device, serial number tag, and the DAC sheet if required.

Please keep in mind that this is a public user forum and not the Steinberg Support. So please remove all your personal information from your posting. Otherwise they will be publicly visible in the internet.

You can register a code just one time, after that the code is not valid anymore. As you have done this before this code is now obsolete.

To get a license update for for AI license please add a request to the thread I have linked here, as many other users have done already as well. But do not add any personal information again, they are known by Steinberg via your email address.

If by current owner you mean you bought it secondhand you will need the original owner to transfer the license to you through support.
