I noticed that when I select a harp pedal (made with symbols from this website Harp techniques · Standard Music Font Layout and added as text), and choose Reset Appereance from the Write menu, that pedalling is deleted. Why is this?
I expect the font is being reset to the default one. Try defining a new paragraph style that uses the appropriate font by default and use that for your harp pedals instead of manually changing the font.
