Resetting note spacing

Bonjour

Je n’arrive pas à faire fonctionner la réinitialisation de la disposition de notes.

Voici ce que j’ai fait et quand je clique sur réinitialiser la disposition, il ne se passe rien .

Merci d’avance pour vos réponses.

Translation:
I can’t get the note layout reset to work.

Here’s what I did and when I click on reset the layout, nothing happens.

Hi @desbazeille_renaud, your control points are all blue (except for one): so the note spacing is already in a reset status (they follow the global options). Overridden control points would be red.

Your System is overfilled (the red percentage on the right is >100%) due probably to manual casting-off.
If you want to reduce the fill percentage of those systems (so that the note spacing algorithm can do its job), you may want to try one ore more of this other ways:

  • reduce the Space Size in Layout Options>Page Setup
  • increase the page margins in Layout Options>Page Setup
  • use a bigger Page Size Layout Options>Page Setup
  • reduce the note spacing in Layout Options>Note Spacing (may not work in this case)
  • set he Staff labels on subsequent systems to None in Layout Options>Staves and systems>Staff Labels
  • press the Reset Layout button in Engrave mode (or manually delete System/Frame brakes) so Dorico can decide how to make the casting-off based on the global options
  • reduce the gap on the left (and/or right) of accidentals from Engraving options>Accidentals>Gaps
  • reduce the Minimum distance between adjacent rhythmic items in Engraving Options>Spacing Gaps
    etc…

(And please, write your posts in English so more people can read them, without the need of translating them)

Would you please consider to edit the title of this topic (clicking on the pencil icon) as for example:

“Reset Note Spacing” or “Note Spacing question” or something like that? (That would help other users). Thank you.
