I wrote a piece using two woodblocks. For the longest time, it kept showing me the instruments named as “wood block 1” and “wood block 2” in slightly smaller text than other instrument names.
I just figured out how to get it to just state “wood blocks” once, but it’s still in a slightly smaller font and strictly attached to the top line instead of sitting in the middle. Is there a better way to fix this so it looks like the rest of the instrument names? Thank you!
@treytillotson, it sounds like it might be a character or paragraph style issue but, without seeing the file, it would just be guessing. Can you make a cut down version from a duplicate that we can check? We don’t need much since it’s apparently just the staff labels / instrument names….

It sounds like your woodblocks are in a percussion kit and shown using the grid presentation type. Individual instruments in the grid use a smaller paragraph style, but you can group them together and show a single, larger name for the group. Or, if the player holding the woodblocks isn’t holding any other instruments, you could use the player name for staff labels instead.
