i’m currently doing some trance music Stream Treasure music | Listen to songs, albums, playlists for free on SoundCloud and try to figure out how the following thing can be done:
Normally when sidechaining, the trigger signal (f.e. a kick-drum) is used to trigger an effect (f.e. compressor) on another instrument (f.e. pad sound).
What i’ve seen (but i dont remember how this works) is that it is possible to leave the kick-drum trigger the signal but in a way that the kick drum itself is “muted”…
is there someone who has an idea? i know it works, but i dont know how…
