My main computer in my recording studio is a Dell 8940 with 64 gigs ram and 13 TB of hard drive space where all of my projects lie.
I do a lot of editing back-and-forth in all of my projects and only have 2 HOFA reverb and EQ effects plug-ins. My main library is SWAM If I need extra internal sounds I go to my Yamaha Genos arrangers keyboard I have a 13th generation Intel CPU that’s very fast.
Since I do a lot of editing with the above musical gear I find that I have to restart the computer as soon as I hear glitches of sound start to appear during recording and playback
Is there a solution in settings of my computer running Windows 11 where I can control the cache more efficiently So that the computer can dump out the wasted memory Interaction it is having with it?
Please share your experiences you have had and I thank you in advance Cubase 14 Pro.

Modern Operating systems are pretty good at managing memory, and any attempt to change internal values regarding caches (e.g. file system cache) should be done very very cautiously, if at all…
Unless you have an application that is leaking memory and using more and more over time so that the OS tries to relieve memory pressure by swapping out to the pagefile, I don’ think it is likely that memory is the issue if you hear glitches.
