Why isn’t the quarter rest shown in the condensed version for Clarinet 2 (left), but it is for Clarinet 2 (right)? I’d like to see a quarter rest in each case.
Does the previous phrase before m.8 end with the Clarinets condensed into a single voice? If so, I believe this is an example of the problem described thoroughly by @johnkprice , and may require a manual condensing change.
Yes, they end into a single voice before. I tried manual condensing, but the rests do not change. I don’t understand, why it works in the third bar, where the rest appears in the first voice.
If you put a manual condensing change on the downbeat of m.8, putting the clarinets in separate voices (and then reset condensing at the next bar line), what is the result?
I tried this already; the result is the same…
