Rests in polyphonic e.g.: the beginning of the aria in the Goldberg Variations

Hello,

What is the correct or best way to show each rest per voice?

I want to have normal size rests for the alto voice.

In the first bar, I could achieve this as follows:

1. Enable force duration for all notes in the first bar.
2. Copy the d4 on the third beat and past it on the first beat in the same voice. 3. Remove the d4 on the first beat.

But I could not get it for other bars…

Is there a way to do it?

This is what you should get by choosing “Show every rest in each voice” in Notation Options (Ctrl+Shift+N):

Is it what you are looking for?
(In that case I did not use Force Duration, and just entered the three notes at their respective rhythmic place, without having to enter any rest.)

Ah, I knew that, but I could not find it today.

On the one hand, it is what I need! On the other hand, however, I have to change it for every single event.
