Retrologue 2 Fixed Phase Question?

Hi all, I have a quick question about fixed phase:

I always want my bass sounds, in specific my sub bass, to have a consistent low end that does not drift in and out due to phase issues between oscillators (especially with more analog flavoured sounds).

I am somewhat new to subtractive synthesis and was wondering if fixed phase is exactly what I have been looking for when programming bass sounds? If I understand correctly, fixed phase resets the oscillators wave cycle position to zero with every new note…BUT, there is also the option to have every new note start at any point in the 360 degree wave cycle.

For my purpose of getting a consistently fat low end I imagine the fixed phase option with the wave cycle set to 0 would be best, correct?

I would be grateful for any insights. Thanks!
