Retrologue 2 Fixed Phase Question?

Hi all, I have a quick question about fixed phase:

I always want my bass sounds, in specific my sub bass, to have a consistent low end that does not drift in and out due to phase issues between oscillators (especially with more analog flavoured sounds).

I am somewhat new to subtractive synthesis and was wondering if fixed phase is exactly what I have been looking for when programming bass sounds? If I understand correctly, fixed phase resets the oscillators wave cycle position to zero with every new noteā€¦BUT, there is also the option to have every new note start at any point in the 360 degree wave cycle.

For my purpose of getting a consistently fat low end I imagine the fixed phase option with the wave cycle set to 0 would be best, correct?

I would be grateful for any insights. Thanks!
