I’m with you Steve. I would almost say that they should kinda get rid of the stylized GUI and make it the same GUI as Halion 7. Unify the instruments under one banner.

I’d like Retrologue (and Padshop) to respond to the “dump program request” midi message, and send in return the values if the CCs.
This would enable the sync with external hardware controllers such as the Electra one Mk2.
And when we tweak a CC-learnt parameter on the software, ideally it would send the CC value changes, so that the Electra one display would stay in sync “bidirectionaly” (the Electra one → Retrologue flow already works, but the Retrologue ->Electra one doesn’t)

I hope for a compatibility switch to choose between ‘old’ and ‘new’ engine models like that in The Legend (/HZ), as there’s an issue I mentioned in this thread

HALion 6 engine produces a exaggerated transient at the beginning of a note as if it is already ADSR enveloped, while HALion 7 engine outputs static level of sound. In HALion 6 and its related products (HS3, HSSE3, Retrologue v.<=2.3), the higher Multi-Oscillator number, the more bloated transients are, in Analogue Synth Zone.

Clearly, HALion 7 engine gets what a proper unison sound should originally be. However, as HALion 6 engine has been there for so many years, creators may have utilized this characteristic as one ‘feature’ to make sounds, for example, percussive or plucked sound, or to add attacks to textures.
