I love the sounds in Retrologue, especially Beach Transmission. The only problem is that the sound keeps going even after I stop the song.
It does not matter if I fade out the event by lowering line underneath in the Automation track. The sound continues from where it left off when I raise the line somewhere else. No!
How can I stop Beach Transmission from echoing endlessly?
That is actually an interesting preset. I don’t know if I fully understand it myself.
The lasting sound comes from the Resonator on the effect page.
It is LFO 3 feeding into the MidBand, which is set to such a high resonance that it seems to be feeding itself.
Turn down the resonance of the Mid Band and the sound will die down. 84 seems to be a good value.
I’m just glad, that it doesn’t shatter the plugin!

I don’t think so. I have found another Retrologue instrument that repeats endlessly: Chart Topper. As you can see in the attached pic, resonator is not turned on. Any ideas?
This preset uses the arpeggiator/step sequencer and its Hold parameter is set to On.
? Where is this setting? Still looking…
