When cubase 8 was annonced there was lots of debate about the removing of the fullscreen mixer feature, and I remember a moderator from Steinberg replyed to the critique that they (steinberg) are not done yet with the implementation of mixer window/workspaces. I was very vocal about getting the fullscreen mixer back, since I am using a 3 monitor setup, precisely to have maximized screenspace for my main windows. one monitor for the mixer at all times. one for the arranger and one for VSTis. I hope Cubase 8.5 or 9 will bring back the option to have the fullscreenmixer for us who use multiple monitors. (and for the record, I never experienced any bugs with focus on plugins on top of the mixer.) hj
