I’m experiencing some odd crashing behavior when loading spire VSTi 3 version 1.5.18.
When I start cubase 14.0.30 PRO, and spire vst3 version is the first thing I load, cubase will crash. However, when I first load another vst3 instrument, like one of the arturia collection, and after that I would load spire, cubase no longer crashes.
Hello, it’s curious that cubase 14 doesn’t seem to make a crashdump when this particular crash happens , i have my documents folder on d:\documenten moved as a custom documents folder (not standard). However this has never been a problem because I see crashes from cubase until the middle of may. Either this particular crash doesn’t make a crashdump or something went wrong with the cubase update.
anyway i used procdump to make a dump on this particular crash:
For some reason I can’t attach a dmp file, but I collected all of the ones I made yesterday in a zip and put it on my google drive:
i hate this system so much. sometimes they will make it instantly visible with those who have the link … here it just stuck to “acces” .I guess that’s in dropbox:
. well i fixed it now. posting the linke again to be sure:
It seems that when I use the realtek driver (available on github), I don’t have this problem.
The built in steinberg asio driver also runs on my realtek HD audio chip, seems to work for the most part, it’s just when i start the spire plugin in vst3 , it crashes.
If I use the realtek ASIO driver, quit cubase, then start cubase again and verify that its running realtek ASIO, spire vst3 starts normally.
