I feel this has been around for a long time but only getting worse… Anyone else seeing this?
So processing an event with Reverance, it’s 50% wrong every time. No tail even though I specify tail or the worst, the clip will shift from wet to dry totally random half way or 1/4 of the way…
Why, what’s going on?
I’ve even tried to bounce the event before processing just in case but no difference…
It works perfectly here in its entirety. However, I make sure the event has two seconds of silence at the end to allow for the reverb. I’m using N14 on Windows 11.
You can add two seconds using the Logical Editor.
But it also works here with events that are 5 minutes long.
apologies. I just saw your reminder. I didn’t notice you uploaded something.
Just downloaded your files.
I’ll come back to you as soon as I have tried the file.
Hi Alex,
I took your Org file and played through REVerence and also did a ‘Render in Place’.
Of course, as THambrecht mentioned, an additional tail needs to be reserved to catch the reverb tail. But this does not seem to be the problem, as I can see in your reverb.wav file. After almost 2 seconds the reverb seems to kick in with a loud disturbance. This sounds weird. Do you have a special signal routing there or a strange impulse response in REVerence?
When you
create an empty project
use REVerence as an insert plug-in
render it in its default settings on the same file you uploaded
do you still get this weird output ?
From what I heard in your rendered file the problem is not, that REVerence is not working 50% of the time. There seems to be a different problem.
When I use the plug in as an insert it acts totally normal, it’s just as a DOP I have problems. It also happens to other plug-ins, like Altiverb, but it’s most pronounced with the Reverence.
Having this problem for a while, too - you need to click “apply” TWICE in order to have reverence work correctly in DOP. Only clicking it once causes errors. I have been reporting this to Steinberg almost two years ago
