Reverb in vocal voice instruments

I am new to this forum. An experienced Finale user switching to Dorico. I mostly use the program to transcribe public domain art songs for vocal students, and choral scores. In both cases I create audio rehearsal tracks for the participants/students. I am using HALion sonic, as that is the default. My problem is that the reverb is so wet that is makes it difficult for the listener to hear proper distinction in the vocal part. I have tried using the Reverb slider in the play window with no noticeable affect, even when I delete the slider. I tried editing instrument parameters in the HALion popup window, but my experience there is extremely limited, and I again heard no change. I would like to see if the vocal part sound can be my dry. Alternatively, I would be open to changing the sound of the vocal part to a drier instrument; however, I would prefer the labels in Write mode to stay “Voice.” Any help? thank you!

There is a “Voice” instrument – or you can simply rename the existing staves.

It’s possible to use the Garritan choir samples, which are known for their dryness.

Welcome to the forum, @brb. I would suggest changing the playback sound. This video shows you how it’s done:

Thank you so much for your help. You led me to learn how to add Garritan, which has a much drier vocal sound, and how to use both VST engines in the same project.
