Dear Dorico forum,
Lets say Dorico makes an automatic frame break after four bars. Instead I want seven bars in that system. Is there a kind of “undo automatic system break” feature?
How do I go about doing this?

Hi Simon,
To do this, select the first note you desire and the final barline that you want in the same stave and then click the “make into system” button. Be careful that you don’t click on note stems only as this sometimes results in weird behavior. You want the noteheads themselves.
You can also achieve the same effect by inputting system breaks at the start of the 7 bars, at the start of where you want the next system, then select the first system break and in Engrave mode activate “Wait for next system break” in the Properties panel. (e.g. if you find the required selections for “Make into system” less ergonomic than this way)
