Reversing ties on upper voices

I would like to reverse the lower tie in this passage, but when there are two voices I don’t know how to separate the ties so I can flip only one.

In Engrave Mode, you should be able to select the bottom tie only, and press F.

I can select the bottom tie in the second bar between the triplet eighth note and the half note, but if I try to select only one tie between the sixteenth note and the triplet quarter note just prior, both of the ties become selected and I can’t separate them.

I see, because it’s an harmonic…
What about the “direction” button in the Properties Panel? On my end, it works:

I find that when trying to select items like this I need to zoom in a bit in order to select just one tie. I do believe you’ll need to be in Engrave mode.

Yes, that worked. It’s odd, though, I had to turn the “direction” button off.

Perhaps it makes sense to continue this thread rather than start a new one. In this screenshot I’m unable to tie the notes from the first bar to the second bar, and from the second bar to the third bar. In the first bar, the E and G sharp (treble clef) are the upper voice which then moves to the G natural in the last sixteenth note. The second voice comes in on the fourth beat of the first bar, with the dotted eighth notehead hidden. The voices are divided the same way in the second bar until the A and C sharp at the end, which are the second voice, and the rests are hidden:

Since they are in different voices you need to ctrl/(cmd?) click each note, then press T.

That didn’t work, in either Engrave or Write mode.

Hi @dondavis, please post a cut-down Dorico file with only those bars, and someone will see what is going on.

Here it is, thanks. Maybe someone can tell me why I can’t trim empty bars as well.

Thank you for the file, @dondavis.

Both the ties and the deleting of the bars works as expected. Here two videos that show the workflows (see the used shortcut as overlay in. the bottom part of the video):

Thank you, this worked. Where in the manual were these operations explained?
