Hello forum
This is my very first time posting on this forum. Can anyone have an idea on the rewine of Cubase 12 and Reason 12 . Using rason12 as a vst instrument it works perfectly well. but that’s not what I want. What I want is to make Reason a slave to Cubase. I did it with the old versions of Cubase 7,8,9, … but with 12 I can’t do it.

Reason Studios, ended support for ReWire in 2020.
There may be another way to do what you want to do but I’m not sure what the protocol is now.

I don’t know what the last version of Cubase was which did support Rewire, but whatever it is you should have a license to run it (assuming you upgraded your way to Cubase 12). So you should be able to freely open Cubase Projects back and forth between different versions of the Program and you could try that.
A more cautious approach would be to use Cubase 9 (or whatever) to create a mini-project just to do your Rewire work for a piece and render the results to an Audio Track. Then use Cubase 12 or 13 for the main Project. You can now just Import the Audio Track from Rewired Project.
I still use Cubase Elements 11 and use Resaon 5 via Rewire sometimes – it all works. Pretty sure it will still be working with Reaper. You’re covered if you use older versions of software.
