The rhythm grid is showing quavers even if I change value on the left side panel. What should I do to fix it, and having various value according to the actual need?
Where are you expecting to see the rhythmic grid? Hint: if it’s the little note besides the caret, you’re wrong, it only tells you which voice is active and won’t change rhythmic value. The rhythmic grid value is only visible in the bottom left spot (where you change it) and in the system track (if it’s shown) pressing the alt/opt key. My 2c.

Can you activate the caret, screenshot your window and tell us what resolution you are expecting?
These are the settings. Rhytmical value is semiquaver and the caret still shows quavers. If I wanted a semiquaver rest on the beat need to write a note and erase it after. And I know that there is a tool to change the rhythmical value of caret, only can’t get how:)

The small orange note at the caret doesn’t show any current note value. It just indicates the stem direction. To change the resolution of the rhythmic grid, click on the small note at the bottom left in the status bar of the Dorico window.
