Hi, all. I’m a Finale refugee, so I think my searches are using incorrect terms for Dorico and I can’t find any suggestions for making corrections to my rhythm section parts here:
The above screenshot shows my guitar part and the treble clef piano part. I have two things I’d like to adjust.
The piano part has the “cue” rest, which I haven’t been able to delete.
On both parts I want to hide the second chord over the rests, but I need to leave that chord symbol there for the bass part, which continues playing through the rests.
I bet these have been answered already, but the terms I’m searching for don’t come up with what I need here.
Selecting the rest and choose “Remove Rests” apparently doesn’t work?
What about selecting the chord symbol in the part and hiding it? If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to delete it and add a local chord symbol in the bass!

That works perfectly, thanks. I was looking to “hide” rests, not remove them. Old Finale language.

I’m not certain how to do hide the chord symbol. Where do I look for this?
Look in the properties panel in the lower zone, you might have to unfold it first. I’m making pancakes right now, so can’t double check if you can hide chord symbols in parts only… Just try it!
