I wonder if there is a neat way to do some visual sketching, along the lines of the attached image. I realise that this probably is easier in a design program, mostly curious to see what Dorico can do.
I like to transcribe big band jazz and it would be nice if there was a way to first sketch which instruments play when and what rhythms they play, adding the pitches at a later stage. Right now I input notes on the middle line (and add notes on top of that if they don’t play in unison), but it can be confusing to tell later if it’s a rhythmic sketch or the correct pitches as well.
