Right locator not following when adding bars to the project

The title says it all.
For example I have set my right locator at bar 92 and have a fade out for ending.

When bars are added or removed in a project, right locator stays where it was, and if an export is performed after the bars are altered the song is either cut or with silence at the end.
Could an option for this be added on the settings menu?

The locators seem to do their own thing… change tempo and they go to ‘time’ instead of bars - even if you’re set to Beats/Bars. It hasn’t bothered me enough to figure it out since I can fix it easily.
Where is your fade out handled? On individual tracks or a group track, it should move.

Does the ‘Master Track’ appear in the project? I did an ‘insert bars’ with my ‘Stereo 1’ as a track and the volume changes moved as expected.

Yes, the Master track appears in the project.
This is the way I am adding bars as well.
Under the process bars dialogue

I don’t understand what the locators have to do with volume automation. Perhaps some screenshots for clarity would help.

If I use Insert Bars from the Process Bars dialog the automation on any track will be moved. Do you do a volume automation on your master out when you say that you do a fade out?

BTW - the locators are not supposed to move after inserting bars. If you want that behaviour to change kindly issue a feature-request in a new topic.

Automation here is a secondary matter.

Ah, I see. So please make it a feature request. The current behaviour is designed that way, so it is not a bug. You’ll have to convince Steinberg that the behaviour, that you desire, is worth the effort to be implemented. :slightly_smiling_face:
