RME Fireface UFX ist not reliably working with VST Live 2

… it will not stop …

Connecting my UFX to my MacBook, using any kind of audio software, bang, it works. Trying this with VST Live 2 brings me to the following scenario:

In VST Live-Preferences I switch to Fireface In & Out, bang, NO sound and it forgets Sample rate & Buffer size on reopening Preferences.
Restarting VST Live with these settings, bang! It works for some time, loses connection, sample rate, buffer size again and turns back to internal speakers automatically, with a change of sample rate it tries to change values of the internal Mac audio driver, which leads to horrible noises - speakers are in real danger!!!
This one is urgent. And it is for Michael I think.

Are there any problems and experiences with other interfaces from RME out there?

Ah, PreRelease 2.1.29 … will also try with Release version.

security settings to allow use OSX audio to VSTLive maybe?

All RME interfaces work fine with VST Live on WIndows.

I checked. These are the same as Cubase 14 - Microphone is checked, screen recording & audio is off - in my opinion this should work.
And if I start VST Live new every time it works for a bit.

I’m working with RME Fireface UC on a Mac. It works perfectly. You probably need to give it security permissions.

I changed screen recording & system audio to on for VST Live, even apple is not mentioning audio for macOS 13? It seems to work now. Thanks also to fkalmus.
