Rogue Lyric and how to delete

Hi Team, I’ve got a rogue lyric that I just don’t seem to be able to delete. I can highlight it press delete it doesn’t get rid of it and even when I select everything in that bar it’s not showing up as a part of the bar.

Not sure how to get rid of it so any advice would be awesome.

It could be attached to a different instrument in your Percussion Kit.

Do this and see if you can see it anywhere:

Change your kit to Single-line staff:

Three things to try:

  1. In the View menu, show attachment lines. This might give some clues.

  2. Try using Cut instead of Delete. I have found that occasionally when Delete doesn’t work, Cut does.

  3. Use the System Track to select the whole bar, then de-select everything else except the “L” using cmd-click. Then Delete.

Thanks for the suggestion. I Closed Dorico, and then when I re opened the app and the file, the rogue Lyric was gone!
