I have used my Roland SE-02 with Cubase 8.5 with no issues with connectivity. I just upgraded the firmware to the Roland to the most current version and am using Cubase 10.5. The issue I am having is that I am able to play the Roland in Cubase but am not able to record any of the audio. I have created a dedicated Bus in the External Instruments section for the Roland that Cubase does recognize but there is no audio signal coming in to the Audio track I created for bouncing the audio down. I have tried rendering in place and also audio mix down with no success. I have experimented with different routing in the Audio Connections but can’t seem to figure out what it is. Make sure Cubase has enabled Mic in the System Preferences, please.
Open macOS System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone. Enable Cubase here.
