Hi,

What do I set the root key to if I’m working in a minor key?

You set it to the rote note of the key you are working in.

Even if it’s a minor key?

How does it know if it’s a major or minor key? Obviously scales different, so surely Cubase needs to know, for transposing etc?

If you want Cubase to understand keys you need to use the Chord Track, which contains a little scale track within it.
