I am curious how do I rotate text boxes in engrave mode in Dorico 6.1? I am using instrument fingering fonts, so I have a clarinet fingering graphic that I need to rotate to make the instrument vertical. Thanks for the help.

Short answer: you can’t. The only way you can get text to be other than horizontal is to link it to a line (you can use invisible lines for this), I hope this will help…
Did you create a font or graphic?
If you could rotate the originals, you could use them as is.

[Edit:] I think I misread. If you are using a fingering font that you’ve acquired, you may be able to adapt it (but that is a lot of work and may involve licensing issues). There may be vertical fonts out there. (I know of “Legni” for clarinet; there may be others).

Thanks for this! I’m not sure I did exactly what you said, but I went to “Font Styles” and in “vertical line font” I then changed the font to the saxophone font, reversed it in properties, and now it is vertical.
How would I now do this for my clarinet font, without erasing the saxophone font?
What font are you using? The legni font for clarinet displays vertically. You can get it free from Legni Font . (There is is button to contribute $6, but you can download it without contributing if you wish.)
There are instructions on how to use it which basically involve a glyph entered by pressing a keyboard character for the layout and additional characters for individual keys, making it very flexible.
