In Preferences I’ve assigned a green color to “Routing”. But in the MixConsole, the Routing is terminally grey.
The “Direct Routing” assigned in Preferences show up, though.
What gives?

And I’m going to piggyback on my own thread here…
Another color thing I don’t understand is why I sometimes lose the color on the direct outputs once I’ve clicked on them.
They default back to grey.
Thanks for listening!

I think it’s bugged! Happening here to
Thanks for the confirmation, Rkmusic.
Rkmusic or anyone who’s following this thread, I discovered my error – at least concerning my second question about direct routing:
If you click far enough to the left of the little Direct Output slot (the one below the Cue Sends slot), Cubase turns that Direct Output on and off. In my case (see last image) green is “on” and grey is “off”. I couldn’t understand why I was missing audio on some channels. Turns out I had turned the direct routing off inadvertently.
Ha, so no bug, just user error.
I’d still like to know why the “normal” routing slots at the top of the mixer are not color coded according to Preferences though.
M.
So it’s just the routing not getting color coded? Good to know.
Yes, the “top” Routing button, the one that resides above everything else in the mixer.
