Routing folders in c15

please make routing folders in c15 like pro tools (track stacks in logic), splice integration, and smoother vertical zoom…..

This is what Group tracks are for. Folders are for the simple organising of tracks.

They have marked the topic as a feature request. So they are not asking about the status quo but suggest which feature they would like to see in Cubase.
I think we should respect that.

I actually left Cubase because of the lack of routing folders in the console and not being able to move channels freely in the console (which has been remedied now) and also too many Melodyne/ARA bugs.

Checking in with every major update though to see if it’s been added but I guess not this time either.

What you mean by “smoother vertical zoom”? If you want free, per-pixel vertical size of tracks - rather than multiplies of the shortest height - then dear God please no!

My wish would be: routing folders for 15.1 or 15.5. That would make Cubase 15 a great update after all.

No that is something different.

I believe you need to see how it’s implemented in Pro Tools, Logic, Studio One and Reaper.

It is a fantastic way to organize and unclutter the console in Pro Tools for instance (which I am currently using).

I do frequent studio jobs with Cubase and this very feature is sorely missed every time.

This was a highly ranked feature request back when Steinberg was asking for votes. It is a very useful features in other DAWs. Hopefully we’ll see it in Cubase some day.

The changes to folders in 15 gave me hope that this is something they might be working on. Fingers crossed it happens sooner than later!
