Routing FX tracks to Groups

Hi all,

I would like to set up my mix so that the reverbs go to a group track before going to stereo. I’ve created an FX track, put the reverb on it. Next I create the group track and make sure that’s routed to stereo. However, when I go to route the FX track to the group, I’m not given that option. That is, The heading ‘groups’ shows up, but the FX group that I’m trying to route to isn’t listed.

I understand Cubase is trying to prevent a feedback loop, but the way I have it set up, I didn’t think I was creating one.

Any help would be appreciated

Make sure to unassign any sends on the group channel.

No! You said you wanted to route an FX track to a group.

The FX track will not route to a group track if the group track already has it’s sends assigned back to the FX track…there’s your feedback loop. So on the group track you must unnassign the send to that FX.
