I am trying to route a Master Midi track to another midi track within Cubase. These child midi tracks are connected to external sources that need different track delays. It seems Cubase blocks from the output routing and midi sends any other midi tracks as valid outputs for the midi channel or midi sends. I have Midi Through Active checked in preference but the child midi channels still are filtered from the sends list. Has anyone else been able to route midi from midi track A to midi track B directly inside Cubase (I do not want to route midi to an instrument track, there are plenty of solutions for that I have found). Any help is appreciated.
You could make shared copies of the MIDI part on the “master” track, these can be moved to other tracks which can then have individual delays applies, and each can in turn feed your external MIDI devices.
Thanks I am aware of that option, but it is not what I am trying to achieve. I want one master that I edit and it automatically flows through n # of other midi tracks. I want to understand if anyone has been able to have one midi track route to another midi track or if that functionality is blocked by Cubase and no one is able to do it.

Are you on Mac or PC?
On Mac you can use the IAC-Driver Bus to route MIDI from one MIDI-Track to another.
I am on Mac…tell me more please. Do I just add the IAC channel and route Master Midi to it and then have all the children listen to that channel? If so great answer…I will try that in the interim to see if I can make it work.
First make sure in Audio-MIDI setup app IAC is available and active:
You can create multiple busses if needed:
Those busses should then appear on cubase:
Chose a bus as output on the MIDI Track with the parts on it and the same bus as input
on all the tracks you want to send to, I think this should work for your purpose:
Yes that works, at least for Mac.
The same is now also possible with the new MIDI stack on Windows 11, using the loopbacks that are now native.
But none of this is part of Cubase itself.
