Howdy! Strange problem with routing of mono channels here. In some cases I can route the track hard panning left or right, and in some cases I can’t. I don’t understand how to control it, and I don’t know what it depends on either. I will be grateful for any help.
The panner of a channel adjusts to the destination of that channel. If you send the signal to a mono channel, there won’t be a panner. If you send it to a stereo channel, you’ll get the stereo panner(s). If you send it to a 5.1 channel you’ll get the surround panner… and so on.
The source channel does not decide, which kind of panner you get.
Thank you Johnny_Moneto
How do I set up the channel so that it receives the signal in stereo, hard panned left and right? See the picture for details please, the bus named PARTS in my nomenclature.

Please just copy&paste an image directly in your message. I don’t like to go to 3rd party web sites to view a picture.

How should I do it, Johnny_Moneto? I’m new here.
I guess that it’s this one :
Process (Windows 10) :
- Save picture as…
- While editing a post, Upload tool (7th from the left in the tools bar of the forum editing panel).
That’s it, cubic13, thanks a lot, it helps!
And the question remains: how to route PARTS-wise?
You don’t. Audio is routed on a per track basis. But you can use automation to alter the panorama throughout you project or use multiple tracks with static settings.
I see mlib, thank you. I think PARTS. What’s so special about this bus that it gives extra left and right mono input, hard panned? How to replicate this behavior?
We don’t know as we are still awaiting your screenshot.
It’s already there, Johnny_Moneto, posted by cubic13 (thank you man!)
Ok, in this case I don’t understand anything and I can’t be of help.
To stereo bus, additionally hard panned mono left and right?
I will be grateful for any help.
not sure to understand all, but when you create a Stereo Group, it will be seen as stereo bus. If you need to access to the Left or Right channel of this group you could create its child busses in the Audio Connections Windows (F4): right click on the group:
Is it possible to remove them after they are added? It doesn’t look like it, you would need to re-create the bus I guess?
Being with Cubase since Atari Days and still learning. You’ve made my day, Yvan, thanks a lot!
Yes, Grim, it is possible. You can add and remove them at will.
Ahh yes…deleting them with backspace works
I was assuming it would be on right click same as adding.
