Routing the Cubase m.bus to another app before the s.card?

Hi all

I know this inquiry is a bit wierd, but it comes from a wierd guy who works, well, wierdly.

I would like to try something - and that is see if I can insert a 3rd-party app inbetween Cubase and the soundcard. So the signal flow would be:

Cubase master bus > 3rd party app > soundcard > speakers

Not looking for a plug that I can insert on the master bus (I know how to do that :stuck_out_tongue: ), but another app as a totally seperate entity. Anyone know of anything that will do this?

Thanks in advance.

Cubase using rearoute asio driver → reaper using hw asio driver → hw

Cubase using jackrouter asio driver → any app using jackrouter asio driver → jackaudio wrapping hw asio driver → hw

But why not just use a wormhole2 instance in cubase master and send the master to any other vst hosting app receiving via another wormhole2 instance, assuming cubase and the other app can share the same multiclient asio hw driver.

Or similar.

Thanks for the reply.

I should have mentioned that I am looking for an app where I can insert plugs, so maybe the first rearoute suggestion is best.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!
