The new ruler offset is quite useful. However, when activating the button Set Time Offset to Project Cursor Position in Bars+Beats mode, the ruler start is not set to the first bar number (normally 1) as expected, but to an incomprehensible negative number.
The red line is your playhead cursor?
Also: Your ruler track is shifted somehow. There should be no empty space on it (before -1 and before 1 in your screenshots). That is definitely wrong.
Here, clicking Offset to Project Cursor results in the ruler track aligning on 1 at the cursor. To the left is 0 and then negative numbers all the way back to origin. There is no gap.
There’s something funky about your ruler track.
To rule out the possibility that it is due to the existing Cubase settings (%APPDATA%\Steinberg\Cubase 14_64), I deleted them and reinstalled C14 from scratch (no older Cubase versions exist). The result is the same, the bar numbering is not correct. However, all the other ruler modes (Seconds, Timecode, …) work as expected.
Project Setup (Cubase default)
Problems here as well with the bars+beats ruler track setting start to cursor position.
Why does it say bar 57 when it should say 1 after setting the beginning to the cursor position at global bar 281?
Thank you for the report. I was also unable to find a reproducer so far but have reported it internally so we’ll take a closer look at it.
This issue has now been fixed for the first maintenance release. Thanks again!
