Running Cubase 10 (Essentials) with a cubase 11 key?

Hey, Just bought cubase 11, didn’t realize it doesn’t like windows 7, and my windows 10 pc isn’t set up for audio.

I read that CD key’s were backward compatible, so I downloaded Cubase 10, but the key I have is to short, so I get the error “you need to update your eLicenser software” but it already is the latest version… am I doing something wrong?

Can you please double check the product you bought and post the correct name?

There are no longer CDs with keys, and all codes are the same length.
