Running Cubase Pro 8.5 (32 bit) and Cubase Pro 14/15 on the same second Windows machine in 2026

I’m running Cubase Pro 8.5 (32 bit) on the same Windows machine (which I realise hasn’t been supported for years so this is at my risk) as I run Cubase Pro 14, 15 etc. as I want to run some really old 32 bit plugins without using a wrapper.

All fine apart from getting missing content messages. Is this because I upgraded and the content years ago? I think the missing content relates to what would have been the default VST Sound Content that I came with Cubase 8/8/5 at the time, such a Groove Agent SE. Is this Content missing because I’ve long since upgraded? I’ve tried reinstalling but the missing content persists. I’ve also tried installing Groove Agent 4 and its content from that time, No dice. This second machine is Windows 10 22H2 machine although it probably isn’t relevant

I will try and make a little video to show the issue. Can I safely remove the startup reference to this Content?

Is there anybody out there???

So the screen shots are from Cubase 8?

Have you checked if the files actually exist in the given location? If not, you can just click “remove”.

In general for managing Steinberg vstsounds, where they are and so on, use the “Steinberg Library Manager”.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes I have checked. I think they have been upgraded to the later edition Cubase which is why they are not in the location(s) and Cubase Pro 8.5. can’t find them. I will look at the Steinberg Library Manager but not sure where the content is stored! It can’t be hard! Thank you!
