A thing that’s bugging me…
I have an album laid out and mastered in Nuendo. Each title in the album is identified by Cycle Markers.
Problem 1: dragging the end of a cycle marker to the start of the next one (snap to events) does not always work - you can still get a slight gap or overlap it seems.
So with each cycle marker at the start of its track, I have moved the cursor to each start marker then used “Set Marker End to Cursor” on each previous marker to make them seamless.
I then export all the cycle masters. You’d think that this would give you a seamless album.
Problem 2: I import all the saved files and line them up in sequence on another track. The first title plays perfectly in sync with the original audio. But as you go down the project, the titles slip. The The exports are not sample-accurate to start and finish. I don’t know if this is because the markers are not properly seamless, or whether the exported files are not the exact sample length of the markers.
Is this a bug of some kind, or user error?
Thanks!
(One of the reasons this is important: Dolby recommendation for compiling Atmos albums is is to open all the tracks/titles in Nuendo - well, a DAW! - compile, then export each title as a separate ADM using cycle makers. They should all but-join seamlessly for playback, but they don’t.)
Thanks!
