Sample Location Path

Hi all,

I have a custom Playback Template that includes sample libraries from various brands. Recently, I have moved all my samples to a Shared folder.

I want to be able to apply my Playback Template to other projects, but when I reapply it, I need to resolve a bunch of Kontakt errors in regard to finding sample files. However, once I have done this and saved the project, upon reopening everything loads fine.

Is there any reason why Dorico wouldn’t be saving the correct path in the Playback Template? i.e. why do the errors appear in the first place? I assume that if it was a Kontakt problem, the errors would appear any time I open a project (rather than just when I’m reapplying a template).

EDIT:
When I click the e to open the VST, the “missing content” error appears and then immediately resolves the location automatically.

Have you re-saved the Endpoints with the correct path?

When you re-apply the template, it just takes the Endpoint information that you originally saved.

I hadn’t done this. I just created a new map from scratch (saving alone the way).

I then followed your advice with my original Playback Template and seemed to fix the problem endpoint. Thanks.
