Sample pitch detection bug? Please help.

I’m testing wavelab elements 8, version 8.03. I have a sawtooth wave sample of a relatively stable pitch from an analog synth. The attack/release are trimmed out. The global analysis gives me an average pitch with +26 cents. However in the sample attributes dialog tune section when I use Detect from audio selection it gives me +7, I have the entire file selected.

Any idea’s why or which is correct?

Yeah this is old but still exists in 12, completely different pitches detected. ugh :frowning:

Possible to share just tiny bit of the sample here to hear and see what’s going on !?
