Sample-rate change has messed up my project

I was working on a project in Cubase when I decided to open up Wavelab for something.

The samplerate in Wavelab must’ve been set to something else because I got a pop up in Cubase saying the sample rate had changed and then more popups about should the files be changed and playback positions etc?

I panicked and closed everything down because I didn’t want to change anything. Now when I reopen my project everything is not in time.

How do I go about getting everything how it was? And not have this happen again.

Thanks.

Just go to the Project Settings and reselect your sample rate.
Project->Project Settings->Sample Rate

I have done. It plays at the right speed now. It’s just everything has moved. Nothing is in time anymore.

If I accidentally open another application that changes the sample rate while Cubase is open, it usually gives an option, choose: Allow different sample rates
This won’t move anything in the project, and then you just simply reselect your sample rate as I mentioned.

You can check if you have autosave files in your project directory? They have .bak extension.
