Sample rate changes after opening another DAW (with same sample rate)

hi i have a frustrating problem:

when i open ACE Studio or Ableton Live 12 while Cubase 15 is open, i get the samplerate change notification.

This is super anoying, and the only thing to keep working is to not touch anything, save as, close Cubase and reopen.
If i do anything else, Cubase starts to convert stuff and move things around and suddenly my whole project is messed up.

How can i prevent this behaviour?

The DAWs i open are also in 44.1 (my default rate). I didnt tell Cubase to change nor did anybody else. I have RME UFX II (ultra stable, no issues) and im running on macbook M2 Max.

no other interfaces are used, only thing that might push it to 48 are apple headphones, but i already deleted those.

What is going on???

It looks like your Cubase project is set to 48 kHz and Cubase is working with that sample rate. But then you launch the other DAW, and the interface switches to 44.1 kHz, letting Cubase react to that. At least, that’s the impression I get from your screenshot…

thanks!

and zoinc me, my template i made for cubase 15 was from after importing vocals from record company i didnt realize they were 48 and after deleting the vocals i didnt check the project rate

so confusing!!!

i think you solved it, so silly of me
