Its actually a 1248, but that is the same series as the 24i/os so could be same issue.
Im not wanting the new 1248 because it doesn’t have spdif coax input anymore, so hopefully it keeps going at 96
Mine lasted a good number of years. But you’ll know the end is coming when you see that it sometimes doesn’t resync sample rate after a change or reboot. On the 24 i/0 that manifested as it scanning sample rates on the front panel for a while, and then settling on a seemingly random one.

Issue resolved - Windows Defender was scanning project folders and causing latency issues at higher sample rates. No idea how this was never an issue for years unless some Windows update at some point wiped out previous exclusions.
You can verify the exclusions are still there in the security app in Windows.
