I recently upgraded from Cubase Artist 9.5 to 10.
Now, in Cubase 10 when trying to add a sample track in the project window, I get the error message: “The sampler track component is not installed. Please reinstall application”. The same happens if I try to drag and drop a sample to the Sampler Control tab in the lower zone. Though I ran installer many times again, this wasn’t fixed.
Then I explored the “Components” folder inside “Cubase 10” folder, and I found 2 sampler-related files: “Sampler track” (SRF file), and “Sampler track.dll”. I double clicked the SRF one, and got this message: “The program can’t start because the
api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-2-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem”. I don’t know if this message is related to the original issue, but just in case…
I still have my 9.5 version installed, and Sampler tracks work ok there!
Any ideas?
