When I drag an audio file into the sampler then Cubase crashes.
What is the reason
Could you attach the *.crash/dmp file, please?
Could you provide more info about the audio file you drop in, please? Do you drag it from MediaBay or Finder/Explorer or Pool…? Is it WAV or MP3…? What sample rate, bit depth, how many channels?
Where can I find the *.crash/dmp file, please?
I drag it out of the project.
For example: a Kick that I uploaded to the project on Import and is in a web file
Mac: macOS Console utility > User Reports folder or Crash Reports in macOS 10.15 (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
Win: Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps
I do not have such a folder in the location you specified
Are you on Mac or Windows?
Does Cubase really crash? What exactly happens?
Firstly the sampler window does not open with all the features, secondly when I drag an audio file to it it throws me out of the software
Could you try in Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable Preferences], please?
I tried to do what you say but still the Cubase crashes As soon as I upload a wave file to Sampler
Could you provide an example file, please?
Which file exactly did you drag, please?
Wave file from the media bay
Do you see any Cubase crash file in the Console utility, please?
Where exactly can I find it please I’m already crazy about it
Type Console to the Spotlight search field.
The search returned no results
In the search I found this file: RAR 6.02 console version
But it’s unrelated
Oh sorry, you are on Windows. So there is no file in this location?
I do not have such a folder called Crash Dumps in the location you specified
