Sampler Track always global?

I added three sampler tracks to one song in my setlist to map some one shot sound FX to three distinct keys, without the hassle of creating a dedicated Halion instrument. Worked exactly as expected and was very easy to set up.

However, to my surprise, the same three sample tracks are now mapped to the same keys in all songs in the setlist (and also visible in the mixer for all songs).

I did not find any option to decide if a sampler track is global or not. Is this “by design”? Would unfortunately make the sampler track pretty useless for me …

Found a quick-and-dirty workaround by setting the output of the sampler tracks to the song’s group channel instead of the stereo out.

Still shows the sampler tracks in the mixers of all songs (unless manually hidden), but a least they don’t create any sound.

… I’ll check, thank you for reporting,
Michael.

… fixed. Next version,
Michael.

Some additional observations regarding the workaround described above, hope this is also resolved by the fix coming on Friday:

  • This only works if I route the sampler tracks to the song group originally created with the song
  • If I create a second song group and route the sampler tracks to this song group (to have a dedicated fader in the mixer), the sampler track is again audible in all other songs
  • When I apply the workaround above, the samples are still triggered from other songs in the background, they are only not audible. So when I switch from another song to the song containing the sampler tracks, for long samples where I hit the keys triggering the sample in the previous song. the fade out of the triggered samples becomes audible.

… yes, fixed. Thank you for your detailed feedback.

/Michael.
