Saturators question.

Hello, on the channel strip I have 3 saturators - magneto, tape, tube.
I liketo use saturatos on insert so I can find magneto as a plug-in.

Where are the tape and tube insert plug-ins?

Thanks.

Open the “Plug-In_Reference” pdf and check under “included Effect Plug-ins”.

I’ve already done it and there isn’t any tape plug in.
Have you done it?

Well there’s your answer

Sure

Exactly - and so simple you found it on your own…

You both clearly haven’t done it because it is right there in Cubase but not in the manual.
You deliver bad information to the people.

But they aren’t in Cubase as plugins which is the question you asked and we are answering.
No bad info delivered…I think just some misunderstanding.

The tube saturation used to be available is a VST called “DaTube” (well it sounds the same to my ears) have you got the dlls of an old Cubase installation handy?

Well this is still in Cubase…I have no idea if it’s the same as the tube in channel strip though.

Yeah i’d be surprised if it was the same algorithm… would seem like an opportunity missed to re-visit it since da-tube is so old. Might be from Quadrafuzz2.

Quadrafuzz does have both tape and tube algorithms so you could be on to something there.

Actually it is you who delivered the following info to people:

DaTube may be old but don’t under rate it - I have thousands of pounds worth of plug ins and still use DaTube sometimes - particularly on vocals and it works well on bass and kick; Used subtly of course.
