What if any are the advantages of saving a CD mastering job as a Project vs as a Montage?

Totally different things.
A project is somehow a simple list of files.
A montage is an “audio project”

I have been saving each of my CD mastering jobs as Montages. Your answer indicates to me that I should continue to do so.
