This issue has also existed in earlier versions of Cubase.
I have an existing template which I want to edit to I open it as usual using ‘create’.
After editing, I click on ‘save as template’ to save my changes and I see my existing template and on asking whether I wish to overwrite I click on ‘yes’.
Whilst it’s still open, I then make further changes and once finished I do as above ‘save as template’ but the template name does not appear in the list this time.
This is inconvenient when I have multiple templates and so cannot remember the exact name so I have to save it as a new temporary file, close cubase and restart Cubase, load my temporary template and save as the original named template and delete the temporary template.
There is another posting ‘similar’ which mentions that the whole list of templates disappears which is not the same as this case, however I tried the same solution which is to delete the userpreferences.xlm file but this doesn’t work. Once saving as template for the 2nd time, the template name disappears once again.
