It’s often the case that I make a kit in Groove Agent, and I dress it up just how I like it by grouping pads and sending them out of different GA outputs that have their own FX chains and sends that go to other tracks. However, I can’t figure out a way to holistically save this entire routing ecosystem. While you can easily save the Groove Agent state as a track preset (save all the samples, GA outputs + their inserts), I can’t find a way to preserve the routing of those outputs to other tracks/groups. For example, I like to have a simple sidechain group that I route some GA outputs through. I want to find a way that I can, within one preset, save the GA state as well as the routing to the sidechain group track that the GA outputs are routed to. Is this possible in C14? Thanks!
Oh neat! Didn’t know about this. Unless there’s a more streamlined solution that encapsulates everything into a preset, I’ll definitely be using this! Thanks for the solution
There are two ways I’m aware of that stores and recalls tracks with routing options, Track Archives and Import Tracks from Project. These functions are somewhat related and comes with a caveat. The destination buses has to be identical in both the project the routing was created and the one importing to. If not, the imported track(s) will have their routing destinations disconnected.
I use Track Archives frequently and think it is a brilliant feature. All my Track Archives were exported from the same Project Template I use to import them into. This template has all the basic Group and FX Tracks I need predefined which makes importing Track Archives very seamless.
